Excellence in Healthy Equity
Eligibility:
- Physician, APP or Other Clinical Faculty
- 3+ years in practice (mid-career)
- Minimum one year of service to BUMG
- Vetted by Chairs/Chiefs
- Health Equity Accelerator leadership will be included in annual selection process
Criteria:
- Demonstrated commitment to health equity through active participation in initiatives and advocacy for policies that promote health equity.
- Impact on underserved populations by delivering high-quality care to marginalized communities and participating in outreach programs that enhance healthcare access for disadvantaged groups.
- Leadership, collaboration, and innovation in implementing innovative programs alongside healthcare professionals, organizations, and community groups to address health disparities and promote health equity.
- Collaboration and partnerships with other healthcare professionals and organizations to promote health equity.
- Education, training, and mentorship involving healthcare professionals, students, and the community, including creating educational resources to promote health equity awareness, serving as a mentor or role model, and advocating for culturally competent care.
- Research and scholarship focused on health disparities and solutions while working on funded projects for health equity research.
- Advocates for the needs of patients from marginalized communities and empowering them through education and support.
- Professional recognition or awards in health equity from colleagues and community members, highlighting the clinician’s impact on promoting health equity
