Andrew Best, M.A. is the Program Manager for the MS in Oral Health Sciences program. He obtained his Masters in Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine from Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and his Bachelors from Marist College in Psychology and Special Education. Andrew has worked with and in diverse populations and settings. He brings a unique combination of culture and experience from his time in Malaysia on a Fulbright to climbing Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. He is passionate about providing students of all backgrounds and abilities access to materials, instruction, and supports to help them find scholastic and interpersonal success. Andrew is in the process of obtaining his LMHC and continually helps support clinical sites around the New England area.

Andrew is an avid traveler, having visited and spent extended time in over 15 countries. Originally Andrew was born in London, England but was ultimately raised in New Jersey. He has hiked the Milford track in New Zealand, completed the Monadnock-Sunapee Greenway Trail in New Hampshire, and won silver in the Putrajaya regatta in Malaysia. He is a strong advocate for Mental Health and the importance it plays in one’s pursuit of higher education and everyday life.

Andrew is a dad joke enthusiast and has a new one ready for every day of the week. He also loves playing his guitar and playing with his Bull dog. He is a big advocate for the connection between physical and mental health.
