Health Professions Education Tuition and Fees
Student Financial Services (SFS) provides students with tools and guidance to manage financial aid while at Boston University Medical Campus (BUMC) as well as the resources to be financially successful upon graduation. Financial aid is offered each academic year and you must re-apply annually to be considered eligible to receive aid. See the GMS SFS page and Applying for Aid web page for more information. The majority of students completing the master’s program do so part-time while working. Tuition is paid per credit at a rate of $2083/credit as determined by each students personalized schedule. BU-affiliated students who complete the Program on a part-time basis are eligible for tuition remission starting September 2022 provided they enroll in the in-person coursework. BU Medical Center-affiliated students are eligible for a 50% tuition discount, are eligible for in-person or online coursework and should follow the guidelines below to be approved. NOTE: Any student receiving a discount must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress, as dictated by the GMS Policies and Procedures, to continue receiving the tuition discount in subsequent semesters AND must be employed through the final exam date in order receive the discount.Boston University Affiliated Tuition Reduction
Applicants from Low and Middle Income Countries
Students considering enrollment may apply to GMS as non-degree student and then enroll in the masters or certificate program subsequently. Only 8 credits are transferable into a degree program. To take a course as a non-degree student, please use the following process. The non-degree application is for an individual with an accredited bachelor’s degree or its international equivalent who do not wish to enter a degree program but wish to take a course(s). Except under unusual circumstances, non-degree students may transfer no more than 8 credits for a master’s degree program or 16 credits for a PhD degree program.
