BUMC Student Financial Services
(SFS) provides students with tools and guidance to manage financial aid while at Boston University Medical Campus (BUMC) as well as the resources to be financially successful upon graduation. Financial aid is offered each academic year and you must re-apply annually to be considered eligible to receive aid.

Incoming students for the 2026-2027 complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be eligible for the Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan. The annual maximum for the Unsubsidized Loan is $20,500. Students interested in additional loan resources can research private, credit-based loans, to help cover any additional costs for the academic year. BUMC Student Financial Services counselors can provides further guidance on the search process. The SFS credit-based loan webpage provides instructions and considerations on how to research and apply for credit-based loans. The Federal Graduate PLUS Loan is unavailable for incoming students in 2026.
