Second-year BU GSDM Student Talks Work & Life Balance with OHS Students

Elias Hilaire addresses the OHS cohort.

The Oral Health Sciences peer-mentoring program, DentMent, invited Elias Hilaire to speak with the current cohort about work-life balance on Thursday, March 16.

Hilaire is a second-year student at Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Originally from Baltimore, MD, Hilaire graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park. He then completed a post-baccalaureate program through GeorgeSquared, a collaborative pre-health program between George Mason University and Georgetown University.

Hilaire is also a vlogger, known as “Student Doctor Eli” on YouTube. On his channel, Hilaire offers words of wisdom to pre-dental students, “day-in-the-life” videos from dental students and residents across the country and live study sessions for his viewers. Check out his channel here.

When it comes to balancing work and life in dental school, Hilaire offered an important piece of advice: “Every day, you must do one thing for yourself.”
