BMC Nephrology Accepted for the CMS’s Kidney Care First Option
Dr. Jesse Bhatia’s application, on behalf of BU Nephrology, is accepted for the Kidney Care First Option of Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation’s Kidney Care Choices Model. This unique payment system is a part of the Advancing American Kidney Health Initiative of the US government which encourages innovations in CKD care, promotion of home dialysis therapies, timely preparation for hemodialysis, and kidney transplantation. BU Nephrology’s selection for this important program is a testament to outstanding kidney care that Boston Medical Center provides to the region’s most racially and ethnically diverse patient groups.
