- Faculty/Staff Assistance Office (FSAO): Provides confidential help to Boston University employees experiencing difficulties, including family challenges. The office is also open to providing help and advice or finding referrals and resources for graduate students in need.

- Little Sprouts: Located on the BU Medical Campus, for children ages 4 weeks through 5 years old. Note: This is not a BU operated facility.

Child Care & Camps

- Camp Terrier (Summer Camp): Established by the Department of Physical Education, Recreation & Dance and Family Resources, Camp Terrier offers sessions throughout the summer, with programs for children ranging from 5 to 15 years old.

- Big Brothers Big Sisters: Helps children in under-resourced families by providing children with one-to-one relationships with adult mentors.

- Mommy Poppins: Resource site that includes an annual list of free and affordable summer camp options in Boston.

- YMCA: Offers summer day camps and financial assistance for families that qualify.

- Care.com: Resource website to connect and find local care givers (babysitters, nannies, etc.) and daycares.
- Action for Boston Community : Non-profit human services organization for low income residents that provides a large range of services including heating assistance, housing assistance, and child care resources.

- Boston Moms: Resources, events, advice, and more for moms in Boston.

- Mommy Poppins: Resource site that includes an annual list of free and affordable summer camp options in Boston.

- MassHealth: In Massachusetts, Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) are combined into one program called MassHealth. MassHealth provides health benefits and help paying for medical expenses for qualifying children and families. They also offer benefits that can help pay for health insurance premiums.

- WIC: A nutrition program that provides food assistance and breastfeeding support to families that qualify.

- Action for Boston Community: Non-profit human services organization for low income residents that provides a large range of services including heating assistance, housing assistance, and child care resources.

- SNAP: Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program provides funds to buy food and other discounts for individuals and families that qualify.
