GMS in the Community

Graduate Medical Sciences provides student, faculty, and staff with numerous volunteer opportunities that enable us to give back to the Greater Boston community.

Boston University’s  Community Service Center matches students with a wide variety of volunteer programs including:

• Afterschool education programs
• Alternative spring break
• Food drives

GMS students work regularly with the Greater Boston Food Bank, the Boston Medical Center Preventive Food Pantry, and afterschool volunteer programs with GWISE (Graduate Women in Science and Engineering).
