Over 200 Graduate Medical Sciences community members — students, faculty and staff — attended the 2024 End-of-Semester Mix & Mingle, hosted in collaboration between GMS, the Community Catalyst Center, and GMS Student Affairs.

GMS students enjoy appetizers, desserts and beverages at the annual social.

The annual event, held this year on Thursday, Dec. 5 in Hiebert Lounge, included a wide array of appetizers and desserts, a bar, games and live music from GMS Marketing & Communications Specialist Mike Bloom.

The Mix & Mingle included a wide array of appetizers and desserts.

Students who attended also had the opportunity to participate in a raffle to win one of 15 different prizes. Raffle items ranged from food and home goods, to popular business cards, to brand-new swag items from the recently launched GMS Online Store.

Associate Provost and Dean of GMS Jamie McKnight served as the event’s emcee, announcing the winners of the evening’s raffle. Familiar GMS faces, like Assistant Dean of Master’s Programs Theresa Davies, Assistant Dean of DEI Karin Schon and Associate Dean of DEI Angelique Harris helped Dr. McKnight pull raffle tickets.

Dr. McKnight, Dr. Young and Andrew Best select winning students during the Mix & Mingle raffle.

Now in its fourth year at GMS, the Mix & Mingle is a welcome opportunity for GMS to relax and take a small break as the end of the semester and finals approach. Attendees enjoyed time with their peers and colleagues as well as beautiful 14th-floor, wrap-around views of downtown Boston. We wish everyone continued success as the semester closes out and a restful holiday season.
