GMS Welcomes 400+ New Students at Fall 2022 Orientation

It was a bright and early Orientation morning for the brand-new class of GMS students on Friday, September 2.

With a diverse class representing 24 countries and 40 states, Orientation served as many students’ first welcome into the Boston area.

The day-long program welcomed over 400 students — master’s, PhDs and MD/PhDs — to campus, beginning with a GMS-wide Orientation before splitting off for program-specific sessions. First on the agenda was a welcome from Karen Antman, provost of the Medical Campus and dean of the School of Medicine, and C. James McKnight, associate provost and dean for Graduate Medical Sciences (GMS).

This year’s Orientation also included a Resource Fair, sponsored by GMS and the School of Public Health and hosted between Hiebert Lounge and the 11th Floor Testing Center. At the Resource Fair, students had the chance to meet various groups and clubs and learn more about campus-wide resources and activities available across the Medical Campus and BU-wide.
