Congratulations to Dr. Mohamed Hassan Kamel, MD, who recently graduated from Boston University and Boston Medical Center’s Nephrology Fellowship Training Program! Originally from Egypt, Mohamed joined the medical field after receiving heavy encouragement from his father, and came to join the BMC Nephrology Fellowship in 2019. After experiencing a “great visit” with the program’s Director, Dr. Ashish Upadhyay, Mohamed felt heavily drawn to choosing BMC for fellowship. His favorite aspect of the program has been the people involved. Within the world of Nephrology, Mohamed greatly enjoys physiology, and his proudest accomplishment in fellowship has been becoming involved in scholarly work. Outside of fellowship, Mohamed enjoys exploring Boston on his bike, as well as additional outdoor activities including hiking and swimming. He leaves with a final note- “I will miss you all,” and he will also be greatly missed. Dr. Hassan Kamel will be continuing his medical education as a Critical Care Fellow at Cleveland Clinic.
