Enhancing Security on the Medical Campus
We are enhancing the security posture on the Medical Campus. You will see an increased presence of public safety officers doing walk-rounds to deter non-affiliates from accessing our buildings.
Beginning Dec. 17, IDs for all employees and students entering buildings will be required. If you do not display your ID, you will need to call a BU person to come down to escort you into the building. Visitors will need to sign in.
Beginning Jan. 3, 2023, buildings on the Medical Campus will go to card access only from 7 p.m.-7 a.m. weekdays, and to 24-hour card access on weekends and holidays, including Intersession. All students, faculty and staff must use their ID badge to gain access to buildings, stairwells and elevators during these times.
Public safety is a shared responsibility. Please wear your BU ID at all times when on campus. Please do not allow others to piggyback through card-accessed doors, including stairwells and elevators; they must use their own ID.
