Fall 2021 Bill Settlement
Have you applied for financial aid for Fall 2021?
If you will be enrolled in classes for the 2021-22 school year, please visit GMS Applying for Aid page for all relevant application information. The Fall 2021 or Spring 2022 Application Requirements section includes links to the 2021-22 FAFSA and the 2021-22 GMS Financial Aid Application. Please note, in order to receive federal financial aid during a period of enrollment you must be enrolled in at least 6 credits.
Fall 2021 Payment Deadline
Please view the bill due date for the fall 2021 semester on the Student Accounting Services page. Some financial aid will not disburse until your first day of fall classes. You do not need to prepay tuition and fees if ample financial aid is secured by the bill deadline. If your pending financial aid covers your fall bill, you won’t incur any late fees or holds on your student account. Please visit the link provided or email studenta@bu.edu with any payment or billing questions unrelated to financial aid processing.

Loan Adjustments Request
If you need to adjust your financial aid award to reduce the amount of loans you wish to borrow or for a change in your enrollment plans please contact our office by email at osfs-gms@bu.eduandwe will adjust your account. Please remember to include your name and BU ID in the email when communicating the change request. It is best to wait until charges for fall 2021 and financial aid has been posted on your student account, so that you can then be sure of the changes you are requesting.

Free Financial Wellness Resources
SFS has partnered with AccessLex, a non-profit that offers free financial education programming and resources to help students and graduates manage their finances and loan repayment. We recommend you check out AccessLex’s webinar, The Road to Zero: A Strategic Approach to Student Loan Repayment. The webinar is usually offered twice a month. You can also set up a free 1:1 meeting with one of their Accredited Financial Counselors to discuss your specific loans and repayment strategies.

Student Financial Services is excited to be operating on a hybrid work schedule! Stop our office in suite B-401 in the Robinson Building where you can meet with an SFS staff member in-person Monday through Friday. While transitioning back into the office, we will still maintain the Zoom virtual office hours. Each session is now open to all students from BUSM, GMS, SDM or SPH. Please note if multiple students have joined a Zoom session at the same time, you will first be placed in the virtual waiting room until we are available to meet with you.
