2021 Travel & Return To Campus Compliance Update
All returning BU-GMS students must meet the following MA State and University requirements to return to campus:
University Requirements: The University is requiring that any graduate student who is entering Massachusetts from a high-risk state or outside the country must have two negative COVID-19 tests, administered at BU and spaced at least 48 hours apart, before they can resume on-campus activities, including attending classes. These negative results must be from BU-administered COVID-19 tests; a COVID-19 test taken prior to your return to Massachusetts will not be recognized by the University
State Requirements: The State of Massachusetts Travel Order requires anyone entering Massachusetts from a high-risk state or from outside the country must either (1) quarantine for 14 days upon their return or (2) have a negative COVID-19 test result from a COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of their arrival back in Massachusetts. You may use a BU-administered COVID-19 test to satisfy the state requirement.
Additional Recommendations: The University strongly recommends that you take two COVID-19 tests weekly during the first two weeks after the your return to campus.
