RE: Testing and Symptom Monitoring Compliance

Dear GMS Students,

We have entered the fall 2020 semester with the LfA hybrid education model and layers of requirements designed to keep us as safe as possible. The testing requirements and daily attestations are cornerstones of this public safety initiative.  I remind you to complete these, not only because it’s important, but because compliance and enforcement is coming. Until now we’ve been on the honor system and while most have complied (thank you), this might not be true for everyone. This has consequences and increases risk for everyone.

Beginning Monday, Sept. 21, any student who is >24 hours overdue for the daily monitoring survey and/or has not done testing according to schedule will receive an out-of-compliance email warning from Boston University.  Loss of Terrier card swipe access and BU wi-fi privileges are the consequences of non-compliance.

Before Monday 9/21, you need to do 2 things:

  1. Log on to the student link to be sure your LfA status (remote/in-person) is correct.
  2. Go to the Healthway portal and check your compliance.  If it shows OVERDUE, you need to schedule a test and/or complete your daily monitoring survey.

Completing your survey will move your badge back into compliance.  For overdue testing, your badge will update when you receive the results. Let’s keep it simple and show how the GMS student community leads the way on making this work for everyone.

Thanking you in advance for your compliance,

Dr. S-K
