Farewell Doug!

The Office of Information Technology would like to thank Douglas Annis for his seven years of service as the Database Administrator for the Medical Campus. Doug has helped to develop and implement many projects. His vast array of skills and dedication to projects is greatly appreciated by many members of the BUMC community. We wish him the best as he moves to another part of the campus in October.

The Office of Information Technology thanks Patrick Sexton for almost four years of working here in various capacities from web site editing and management to application development. We are grateful for his dedication and expertise on many projects at BUMC. He will be sorely missed as he heads to Texas in August for the next chapter in his life, but we wish him the best in all his endeavors.

OIT would like to welcome our newest Desktop Support Specialist, Curtis Teixeira. Curtis comes to us from the School of Public Health’s Department of Environmental Health where he has provided both Mac and PC support for approximately 50 faculty and staff for the past 7 years.

Please join us in welcoming our newest Desktop Support Specialist, Bryan Bettencourt. Bryan has several years of experience supporting users and computers in various environments ranging from hospitals to mobile broadcasting units. Bryan graduated cum laude from Wentworth Institute of Technology with a BS in Computer Engineering Technology.

Farewell Lenny Li!

The Office of Information Technology would like to wish farewell to Lenny Li as he departs to move to Pennsylvania to pursue a career in nursing. Lenny started in 2003 as the Helpdesk Technician. He was later promoted to Desktop Support Specialist. Lenny will be missed but we wish him much luck in his new vocation.

OIT is happy to welcome Loris Echeverria to the position of Help Desk Technician! Loris has her Bachelors in Management Information Systems. She has worked in IT at both JP Morgan Chase and the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. Please feel free to welcome Loris the next time you call our Helpdesk!

Welcome Andrew Salois

OIT is delighted to welcome Andrew as Systems Analyst/Administrator in the Systems group. Andrew graduated from BU in 2005 with a BA in Pure & Applied Mathematics and Physics. He worked on the Charles River Campus for almost two years before joining the Medical Campus community on February 20th. He’s currently pursuing a Masters in Computer Science with a concentration in Security.

Farewell to Steve

The Office of Information Technology would like to thank Steve Magnusson for almost three and a half years of service. Steve has assisted the BUMC community as a student, as the Help Desk Operator, and as a Desktop Support Specialist. Steve will be missed, but we wish him the best in his future endeavors as he departs today.
