Open Postdoctoral Positions & Recruitment Events
- Virtual Postdoc Preview – Brown University. This event is scheduled for Wednesday, March 12, 2025, from noon to 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time via Zoom. A Zoom link will be emailed to registered attendees. This event is aimed at advanced PhD students and current postdoctoral scholars within 1-2 years of doctoral degree completion. The event will include an introduction to research and teaching excellence at Brown, the postdoc training structure, resources available to postdocs, strategies for identifying fellowship opportunities, the availability of training grant slots, open positions, a postdoc panel, a faculty panel, and a general overview of the region.
- Postdoctoral Opportunities at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Join the Networking with Purpose workshop taking place in K103 and Zoom on March 20, from 4 to 5 pm. In addition to leading the workshop, Briana Mohan, Program Manager for Postdoctoral Recruitment and Special Programs at MD Anderson Cancer Center, will present postdoc opportunities at the institute and share about the postdoctoral experience there.

Academic Postdoc Fellowship opportunities
The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine maintain a database of more than 300 research opportunities and administer postdoctoral and senior fellowship awards at the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA), and the U.S. Space Force (USSF) under the Air Force Science & Technology Fellowship Program (AF STFP). They are seeking highly qualified candidates who are U.S. citizens and hold, or anticipate earning, a doctorate in a variety of fields of science or engineering.
Application deadline dates (4 annual review cycles – if a deadline falls on a weekend or federal holiday, the deadline is moved to the next business day): February 1 | May 1 | August 1 | November 1.
Research Fellows have the opportunity to conduct independent research in an area compatible with the interests of the Air Force laboratories, devote full-time effort to research and publication, access the excellent and often unique Air Force research facilities, and collaborate with leading scientists and engineers.
Award benefits include base stipend starting at $95,000/year (may be higher based on experience), health insurance (including dental and vision), relocation assistance for Research Fellows who will be on tenure for at least six months and who at the time of award reside more than 50 miles from the host laboratory, and professional travel allowance.
The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine has opened a call for a prestigious postdoctoral and senior research awards, the NRC Research Associateship Program (RAP). The RAP are prestigious postdoctoral and senior research awards designed to provide promising scientists and engineers with high-quality research opportunities at federal laboratories and affiliated institutions. These programs offer a comprehensive experience, including mentorship, access to state-of-the-art facilities, and opportunities to influence government policy, all geared toward enhancing the research career development of the Research Associates. The US Army Educational Outreach Program (AEOP) Fellowships provide professional research opportunities for graduate and post-graduate students in U.S. Army Research Labs and Centers focused on the most current and cutting-edge future modernization priorities of the Department of Defense. Some AEOP fellowships are for postdoctoral scholars, others for graduate students.

The “3 Wishes” program provides creative students and faculty with the rare and meaningful experience of helping to create mementos and positive final memories for dying ICU patients & their families at BMC. We are open to individuals who are interested or experienced in any of the below:
