GMS Orientation September 2, 2011

Orientation for all GMS MA, MS, and PhD students will take place on Friday September 2, 2011 from 9-12 am in the  670 Albany Street Auditorium.    The orientation schedule and additional information can be found online.    Class start on Tuesday September 6th. 2nd Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium, August 5th

The Division of Graduate Medical Sciences is pleased to invite you to our 2nd Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium. The symposium held on Friday, August 5, 2011 was developed to showcase independent research projects accomplished by a distinct cohort of students during their 10 week summer internship. Summer interns are aspiring biomedical scientists. Thesis Submission Due Date August 4th for all September, 2011 Graduates.

All GMS  (MA, MS and PhD) students planning on graduating  in September, 2011 should submit their thesis for format review after July 26th.  Two copies of the thesis with signed approval pages are due to the Registrar by 3pm on Thursday, August 4th.  Please see thesis submission guidelines found on the student forms page for additional information.

Summer Undergraduate Research Program Begins May 31st

GMS welcomes  students in the Summer Undergraduate Research Program.  This is  a rigorous ten week  summer program for  undergraduate students interested in achieving a  Ph.D.  in biomedical research, especially those students from groups underrepresented in the biomedical sciences. The program starts May 31, 2011 and will continue through August 5, 2011.

Russek Day: Student Achievement Day

Held from 9am-5pm on May 27 in Hiebert Lounge. On this day we honor our graduate students by hearing about their exciting research efforts in a poster session and share their excitement as they congratulate their friends after winning the coveted Achievement Award. We also share our ideas with a scientific luminary that serves as a Visiting Professor for the student award winners.
