GMS Fall/Winter Yoga, 10/15, 10/22, 10/29

A chance to learn about the beneficial effects of yoga on your mental and physical health. Sessions will include breathing exercises that reduce stress and poses that are adaptable to all skill levels. The class will conclude with a discussion about the physiologic effects of the practice and how these principles can be applied to everyday stressful situations. No previous yoga experience is necessary. Transition from PhD Chemist to Filmmaker, April 5 Lecture

Chemist and filmmaker Valerie Weiss, PhD will be on the Medical Campus Thursday, April 5, from 2-3 p.m. in room L-112, BUSM Instructional Building, to talk about her film, Losing Control. She will discuss how she transitioned from a successful career in science to filmmaking. All students, faculty and staff are invited to this seminar. Dr. Weiss will show the film trailer and several clips from the film.
