GMS Donation Drive Serves Cradles to Crayons
This year, Graduate Medical Sciences continued our work with Cradles to Crayons – but this time, it looked a bit different. While we weren’t able to physically visit the facility and package donations this winter, GMS held a successful donation drive, collecting various items for children in need.
We are thrilled with the number of faculty, staff and students who donated items like face masks, school supplies, games, and winter clothing. The drive began in November, and all items were collected and donated by December 4th.
GMS is proud to support a local nonprofit – Cradles to Crayons has a location in Newton, and also operates in Philadelphia and Chicago. The organization was founded in Boston in 2002, with the mission is to provide essential items for children in struggling families so that they can thrive at school and in life.
We are so thankful for the opportunity to support Cradles to Crayons from a safe distance this year, and to help serve young children all over the state of Massachusetts.
