Marrow Drive – April 4th
The BUMC Gift of Life Bone Marrow Registry Drive is a collaborative effort with the Boston University Schools of Dental Medicine (SASDA, HSDA, ASDA), Medicine (SCOMSA), Public Health and the Graduate Medical Sciences Program (GMSSO). Gift of Life helps children and adults suffering from leukemia, lymphoma, other cancers and genetic disorders find donors for bone marrow transplants. If you are between the ages of 18 and 45 and in general good health, you are eligible to be screened and join the worldwide registry for patients in need. The need for donors of South Asian, Asian, Hispanic, African-American and multi-racial backgrounds is urgent!
You can help three (3) ways. Last year we swabbed and registered 75 people and one was a match for a 58 year old person in need! With your help, we can surpass that number this year!
- a) Volunteer to staff the BUMC Gift of Life event on April 4, 2019, 11:00am to 3:00pm at the School of Medicine (L Building Lobby and L-107). Use this link to volunteer:
