Milestone Events and Programs

The Student Affairs Office (SAO) organizes many of the milestone events unique to medical students. Among them are the White Coat Ceremony, Match Day, Commencement and Awards Ceremonies.

Information for the upcoming Class of 2026 MD & PhD Convocation Ceremony

Class of 2029 White Coat Ceremony

• The White Coat Ceremony for the Class of 2029 was held on Monday, Aug. 4, 2025, on the Talbot Green on Boston University’s Medical Campus.

Graduation 2025

• The BU Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine’s 2025 MD & PhD Convocation Ceremony took place on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at the Track & Tennis Center.

Match Day 2025

• The 2025 Match Day Ceremony was held at the George Sherman Union on Friday, March 15.

Class of 2028 White Coat Ceremony

• The White Coat Ceremony for the Class of 2028 was held on Monday, Aug. 5, 2024, on the Talbot Green on Boston University’s Medical Campus.

Match Day 2024

• The 2024 Match Day Ceremony was held at the George Sherman Union on Friday, March 15.

Graduation 2024

• The MD & PhD Convocation Ceremony took place on Thursday, May 16, 3 p.m., at the BU Track and Tennis Center.

2023 Commemorations

• The White Coat Ceremony for the Class of 2027 was held on Aug. 1, 2023.
• A Match Day Ceremony for MD students participating in the 2023 Match was held at the George Sherman Union on Friday, March 17.
• The Graduating Students Awards Ceremony was held on May 15, 2023, from 12-2 p.m.
• The MD & PhD Convocation Ceremony took place on Thursday, May 18, 3 p.m., at the BU Track and Tennis Center
