The Division of Graduate Medical Sciences successfully hosted the first Student Art Exhibit of the 2011-12 academic year on Monday, December 5. Artwork was presented by GMS students, Michelle Welch and Nadine Channaoui. Learn about the artists. Stop by our office (L315) if you missed it to see their art work.
The GMSSO and the American Red Cross will be sponsoring a blood drive on Wednesday, April 4th from 10am-3pm in the Hiebert Lounge, 14th Floor.

This workshop will explore strategies for building successful and dynamic research teams.
Discussion will consider:
- Essential characteristics of a successful research team.
- How to build and sustain successful research teams.
- How to develop your own career in a team science context.
- How to manage conflict constructively in a team science context.
The GMSSO Fall Social will be on Wednesday, September 14th at T’s Pub, 973 Commonwealth Avenue. The event will run from 7pm-10pm. This event is open to all new and current GMS master’s and Ph.D. students. Plenty of free food will be provided. Questions? Email firstname.lastname@example.org
On Thursday, October 20th at 5pm the GMSSO will sponsor a free showing of The PhD Movie. The movie will be held in Hiebert Lounge. Refreshments will be available.

PhD Students: On Friday, December 3rd, attend a panel discussion with faculty, current post-docs, and students as they describe the process of looking for a post-doctoral position. Also, faculty will discuss what they look for in an application, and a student will give their perspective of searching for positions and managing incoming offers.This panel discussion will be held, Friday, December 3, 2010 from 12pm-1pm in room L109.
