This presentation will provide data on the current trends of preteen youth suicidal behavior as well as current research findings associated with preteen youth suicidal behavior in high risk groups of youth. Finally, intervention opportunities for high risk groups of preteen youth will be discussed.

1. Discuss the current trends of suicidal behavior in preteen youth in the United States of America.

2. Describe current research findings concerning preteen youth suicidal behavior in high risk groups of youth.

3. Discuss potential opportunities for intervention for preteen youth at high risk for suicidal behavior.
