Recovery Learning Community and Peer Support Services
BMC has a grant from the Department of Mental Health to fund the Metro Boston Recovery Learning Community and Peer Support Services in Greater Boston, Cambridge, Somerville and the Southeast region. The Recovery Learning Community provides free peer-to-peer services for individuals in recovery from mental health and/or substance use issues. Services include peer support, advocacy, referral, education, career coaching and job readiness. The certified peer specialists are employed in crisis units and go with the mobile teams to participate in patient evaluations and follow-ups.
