Climate Change: A Mental Health Challenge

This presentation will describe how climate change is affecting our lives now and in the future and its health effects, focusing on it mental health effects. It will describe the role of the mental health practitioner in helping to build resilience to and to respond to the mental health challenges on clinical and community-wide levels.

    1. Recognize common climate-change challenges worldwide.
    2. List common health effects of climate change in the U.S.
    3. Describe ways to incorporate strategies for addressing mental health challenges of climate change into clinical and public health practice.
