Application Components
To be eligible for admission to the MS in Medical Sciences program, applicants must satisfy all requirements set forth below:
*Applicants who do not meet the minimum GPA requirement but who possess a highly credentialed near-complete medical school applicant profile will be considered.Graduating Institution and Competency
Coursework
- 2 semesters each of the following premedical coursework ( “C” grade minimum (remediations OK, each with lab):
- General Chemistry
- General Biology
- Organic Chemistry
- Please note that one semester of Organic Chemistry can be replaced with Biochemistry
- Physics
- It is strongly suggested that additional upper level Biology, as well as introductory Sociology and Psychology courses, be taken prior to the start of the program.
- While we prefer the above prerequisites be completed at a 4-year institution, we will accept credits earned at a community college.
*We prefer a letter from at least one science faculty member who can speak to your characteristics as a student. If you are unable to provide this for whatever reason, we will accept a letter from anyone who can speak to your work ethic and character, as long as they have observed you in a supervisory capacity.Materials
