Exercises 2010-2011
Patriot Guard Exercise
The Massachusetts National Guard in conjunction with local, state and federal agencies and the Boston University Healthcare Emergency Management Program conducted a Homeland Security training exercises in the vicinity of the Sandwich power station and Sandwich Boat Basin on May 5 2011.
This training event involved joint training opportunities for multiple agencies including the National Guard, US Coast Guard, Town of Sandwich Emergency Management , FBI, FEMA Urban Search and Rescue (MA-Task Force 1), US Army Corp of Engineers and other local agencies. The exercise was used to test the homeland security response capability of the federal government to a CBRNE incident.
BU Med and Somerville Exercises
In September 2010, our masters program partnered with companies to do three exercises at BU Medical School and The Argenziano School (an elementary school in Somerville School District):
- BU Medical – Active Shooter
- Somerville – Argenziano School – Active Shooter
- Somerville – Argenziano School – Fire
