Research Resources
The Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine is dedicated to advancing biomedical research, from fundamental science to the translation of discoveries into treatments that enhance human health. Our institution excels in both traditional and interdisciplinary research, supported by 21 basic and clinical science departments. We are also committed to training the next generation of biomedical scientists through our Graduate Medical Sciences programs.
The basic science departments offer laboratory facilities, technical support, and administrative assistance. They also foster collaboration, ensure ethical compliance, and encourage professional development. The clinical science departments provide with hands-on training, patient care experience, clinical and translational research in various medical specialties.

Federal Relations connects faculty with federal funders, shares BU’s expertise with policymakers, collaborates with national organizations, and boosts BU’s visibility in Washington on policies affecting research universities.
