In 2017, the APA published the Multicultural Guidelines: An Ecological Approach to Context, Identity, and Intersectionality. These guidelines are pivotal to the work that we do as researchers and practitioners. In the current sociopolitical climate, it is important to understand how to engage in culturally sensitive practices with diverse communities.  This lecture will overview the 2017 APA Multicultural Guidelines and identify considerations for promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in clinical practice.

Learning Objectives:
    1. Identify guiding principles of multicultural practice
    2. Discuss the application of the multicultural guidelines to working with diverse communities
    3. Describe the challenges involved in promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion
