Current Group Offerings

BMC Baby Cafe offers resources in lactation counseling, education in prenatal breastfeeding, and support for parents. Sessions are on Mondays, 4:30 pm – 6 pm ET offered both in person (Shapiro building) and virtual.

Haitian Mamas Group is a support group for pregnant and postpartum Haitian moms that aims to create a sense of community, develop coping skills and encourage discussion. Group sessions are in person (Shapiro building) on Wednesdays from 3 pm to 4 pm ET. This is a drop in group, so patients can join groups at their own pace for up to 5 group sessions.

Resilient New Parent Group is a 12 week, in-person group for new parents with a history of mental conditions. The group takes place on Fridays at 10am ET at Boston Medical Center. To be a part of this group, you must be an established BMC IBH-OBGYN patient, between 6 months of pregnancy and 5 months postpartum, and able to commit to 6 weeks of sessions.

If you are interested in joining any of these groups, please talk with your healthcare team at BMC.
