Special Advance Loan Request for Living Expenses

Due to the early academic year start for some dental student populations, Student Financial Services is able to offer a one-time loan advance for living expenses for the first 1.5 months of the academic year. This loan advance is not separate from your loan funding, it is merely an advance of the loan funding you anticipate for the 2025-2026 academic year due to the early start date.

Students will still receive their anticipated financial aid awards including any renewal of institutional scholarship funding at a later date and the remainder of any anticipated financial aid for the 2025-2026 academic year will be applied accordingly. This loan advance is temporarily being offered solely to assist with living expenses and will be replaced with any eligible Federal and/or private educational loan funding at a later date.

If you would like to request funding to assist with your living expenses please complete the following form. Please read the student consent section carefully as failure to follow all directions and notices can lead to a delay in receiving funding.

By law, these funds cannot be released prior to the start of your programs 2025-2026 academic year.

DMD4: May 19th

This advance offer is currently available to only DMD4 Goldman School of Dental Medicine students for the 2025-2026 academic year.

You must create a Nelnet Student Choice Refund profile to receive an advance.  If you are unable to create a profile or receive this payment via a NelNet account, please contact Student Accounts.
