The Graduate Programs at Boston University School of Medicine reviews all applications and does accept qualified international candidates. As with all candidates accepted into the Graduate Program in Molecular and Translational Medicine, international candidates benefit from free tuition, health insurance coverage and stipend payments. Currently, we have students from Canada, China, India, and the European Community.
All candidates are expected to complete the online application and submit the required three (3) letters of recommendation and personal statement within the application deadline to the GMS office. International candidates who have not matriculated in a US institution must submit TOEFL scores. (Minimum TOEFL: Reading = 21 Listening = 18 Speaking = 23 and Writing = 22)
CHANGES FOR 2021 ADMISSIONS: BU will temporarily accept the online Duolingo English proficiency exam for Fall 2021 admissions to accommodate those applicants unable to take the TOEFL/IELTS tests due to lack of access to exam centers. More information on the test can be found here.
International candidates must submit the International Applicant Cover Sheet as part of their application. Financial documents are not required.
