Research Resources
The Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine is dedicated to advancing biomedical research, from fundamental science to the translation of discoveries into treatments that enhance human health. Our institution excels in both traditional and interdisciplinary research, supported by 21 basic and clinical science departments. We are also committed to training the next generation of biomedical scientists through our Graduate Medical Sciences programs.
Basic and Clinical Sciences Departments
The basic science departments provide laboratory facilities, technical support, and administrative assistance. They also promote collaboration, ensure ethical compliance, and encourage professional development. The clinical sciences departments offer with hands-on training, patient care experience, clinical and translational research in various medical specialties.

Biostatistics and Epidemiology Data Analytics Center (BEDAC)

Communications Office

Communications Office is responsible for the development and implementation of a coordinated internal and external communications.

Federal Relations connects faculty with federal funders, shares BU’s expertise with policymakers, collaborates with national organizations, and boosts BU’s visibility in Washington on policies affecting research universities.

Foundation Relations
The
Foundation Relations team, within the Office of Development & Alumni Relations, helps faculty identify, apply for, secure, and steward charitable gifts and grants from private philanthropic foundations and nongovernmental organizations.

RIMS – Research Information Management System provides researchers with a single location to submit, modify, or renew all their Research Compliance information including protocol approval requests, hazardous materials inventories, personal rosters and training records, and equipment lists as required by regulatory agencies and campus oversight policies.
