Area of Research: Examined firearm policy and injury prevention, as well as exploring the mental health and social ramifications of violent trauma.

Dr. Miriam Y Neufeld has published 8 papers and letters in Surgery, the Journal of Surgical Research, Injury Epidemiology, American Journal of Surgery, Journal of Immigrant and Minority Health, International Journal of Legal Medicine, Journal of American College of Radiologists, Journal of National Medical Association, and Journal of Affective Disorders. She has had two projects presented orally at ACS Clinical Congress and the American Public Health Association, as well as a poster presented at ACS Clinical Congress. She has also presented her work locally at Grasberger Research Day at Boston Medical Center. She has presented grand rounds on her research work at Boston Medical Center. This year, she completed her 3rd year at a T32 research fellow.
