The fellow will be mentored in research projects starting from orientation. The MSK section is involved in many areas of research including arthritis, sports imaging and interventional procedures. Additionally, we collaborate with the International Olympic Committee on the summer Olympics and have access to the imaging performed at the Olympic Games to analyze.
There are multiple collaborations with other departments including orthopedics, podiatry, and rheumatology to appeal to a wide range of interests and opportunities. The goal is for the fellow to submit at least one project, submitted to a peer reviewed journal and present at a national meeting. Protected time and funding to attend a national meeting are available. Academic time is also possible for the fellow to allow dedicated time to work on a project and presentations.
