Information for Applicants
Thank you for your interest in specialty residency training in Diagnostic Radiology and Integrated Interventional Radiology at Boston University Medical Center.
All application materials are submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
Our Department participates in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP). Currently, we recruit 10 residents per class consisting of 9 Diagnostic Radiology residents and 1 Integrated Interventional Radiology resident. First-year positions start at the PGY-2 level. The program requires 4 years of continuous full-time training. The clinical internship year (PGY-1) must be sought independently and should be completed prior to beginning the residency program. USMLE Step 2 must be completed prior to graduation from medical school, and USMLE Step 3 should be completed prior to residency or early during residency training. All residents in this program are expected to meet eligibility requirements set forth by the American Board of Radiology (http://www.theabr.org).
We interview invited applicants from approximately November through January. For the current interview cycle in 2023 and for the foreseeable future, our interviews will be conducted via Zoom which are divided into morning and afternoon sessions while also providing a bird’s eye view of our program and the program culture through a variety of breakout sessions.
