We get it – sometimes you just want to have some fun or need some retail therapy to take your mind off midterms and presentations. Then you look at your tuition bill, rent, bills, and grocery receipts and wonder where you can actually save money or how you can have fun without spending all your money. Fortunately, one benefit to being a student is there’s a discount for almost everything. We’ve gathered up some of our favorites and included other resources you can use to save money.

- Free and Discounted Entry to Museums
- #Student 9s: $9 Red Sox Tickets
- Free BU Shuttle with stops between Charles River Campus and Medical Campus
- Reduced MBTA and BlueBike costs
- SNAP-eligible students: $30 monthly T Pass and hundreds of discounts through Card to Culture program
- Amtrak: 15% discount for students age 17-24
- Zip Car/Rental Cars: various % off
- Spotify + Hulu: $5.99/month (Hulu only: $1.99/month)
- Cell phone and internet providers: generally 10%-20% discount
- Amazon Prime: free for 6 months
- SheerID and UNiDAYS: Hundreds of brand discounts
- Affordable Connectivity Program: $30/month discount on internet service *for those who qualify
Not sure if a service, store, or retailer has a student discount? Just ask! You would be surprised how many places will offer a discount just for having a student ID.
