Half-Year Research Program

The Half-Year Program at Boston University Medical Center (BUMC) allows medical students to spend a single semester instead of a full year to pursue full-time research with a BU faculty member. There are no changes to the learning outcomes for a semester of research versus a year. Students participating in the Half-Year program are enrolled in a 1-credit course (MED MS900) in each Fall and Spring semesters and are registered part-time/certified full-time. Students will receive a scholarship to pay for tuition costs. Students interested in this program should use the application below to apply. This program does not cover any fees or provide a stipend.
