The Medical Student Research Symposium is an annual event at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. This symposium highlights all medical student research projects, including those of students that participated in the Medical Student Summer Research Program (MSSRP). The day consists of poster presentations and viewing, a mid-day reception, and oral presentations by medical students. The Serchuck Awards are presented to outstanding research posters in several categories.

This February, the Medical Student Research Program proudly showcased an impressive selection of 91 abstract submissions. From an array of compelling research projects with a variety of topics, research types and across numerous departments underscored the Symposium’s continued role as a hub for innovation at BU’s Medical Campus.

Each year, we are thankful to the students and their faculty mentors that remain dedicated not only to the enthusiasm of our students, but also the vibrant research culture they help to foster.
