See the schedule below and join a session in progress at this link*!

Wednesday, March 26 9am
Wednesday, April 30 1pm
Friday, May 23 10am
Tuesday, June 17 2pm
  • How do grants and pubs get onto my BU profile, and can I edit them?
  • How do I use BU Profiles to find collaborators?
  • How do I link my ORCID to my BU profile?
  • I don’t have a BU profile. How do I get one?

Whether you already have a BU profile* or you would like to acquire one, drop in to get answers to your questions!

BU Profiles allows you to network and collaborate with colleagues, find potential mentors, search for relevant panel members and advisory board expertise, evaluate research trends by investigator, and broadly survey the community at large while displaying your academic credentials, publications, research, and related career information to that same community.

There are many data elements and options available on a BU profile. The data shown is drawn from many sources, some of them directly entered by the profile owner or by a data curator on their behalf, while others are drawn from other sources via integrations. Those sources include SAP, PubMed, BU/BMC Sponsored Programs, NIH RePORTER, ORCID, YouTube, X, and others. It’s often unclear to profile owners how all this information is added, updated, and maintained:

  • Which aspects of my BU profile can I edit myself?
  • Can I designate someone to make edits on my behalf?
  • How is my school-specific/BMC profile different from my BU profile, and how can it be edited?
  • My degrees aren’t appearing correctly on my BU profile, how can I edit them?
  • My personal phone number is appearing on my BU profile, can it be replaced by my office number?
  • How can I post my YouTube videos to my profile?
  • Can I update my profile’s headshot photo?
  • Have a suggestion for a new Profiles feature? Drop in and tell us about it!

Drop in with your questions and suggestions anytime during a session at this link*.
