Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award

Society: Arnold P. Gold Foundation
Purpose: The Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award is given to a faculty member who best demonstrates the Foundation’s ideals of outstanding compassion in the delivery of care, respect for patients, their families, and healthcare colleagues, as well as demonstrated clinical excellence.
Eligibility Criteria: The Gold Foundation suggests specifically using the I.E.C.A.R.E.S. (integrity, excellence, collaboration and compassion, altruism, respect and resilience, empathy, and service) framework when nominating a clinical faculty person (MD or DO).
Nominator Eligibility: Must be a clinical faculty person (MD or DO)
