Radiology Interest Group
The Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine Radiology Interest Group’s primary goals are to enhance medical student’s knowledge of the field of radiology, to introduce clinical activities in the various areas of radiology, and to provide students with direct contact with radiology faculty. We are passionate about educating a diverse group of students with information and resources about research opportunities in radiology, as well as exposing them to what a career in radiology may hold.
We aim to support and guide medical students considering applying to radiology residency programs by creating opportunities for mentor-student relationships between radiology faculty. We aim to expose medical students to the residency program application process and expectations of residency by hosting sessions with residency directors as well as current residents and attendings in the radiology department. By providing such opportunities we hope to enable medical students to make informed decisions regarding a future career in the field of radiology, and to help them become well-rounded and competitive applicants as they prepare for residency.
