The professor of neuroscience and pharmacological sciences at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York will join BUSM on Dec. 1.

Drs. Joanne Murabito and George O’Connor to serve as ad interim multi-PIs and co-program directors.
In accepting the position, his responsibilities will increase over the next four years, serving as treasurer, vice president and president.
Leaves BU after 38 years of service. “I loved every second of working with the students and trying my best to make sure they were happy here.”

As President of USU, Woodson will be responsible for the academic, research and service mission of the university.
