Karan Kacy Smith Named Distinguished Staff of the Month for September

Karan joined the Medical Campus in 2021. Her nominators say she is “a real problem solver and always willing to put in the extra time and effort for the team to investigate some complicated computational issues.

“Karan does so many different things every day. She goes above and beyond to keep the lab running smoothly, and she’s so incredibly organized that nothing slips through the cracks. She’s not afraid to think of new solutions on the fly and she seems to always be willing to spend more time on a task in order to make sure it’s well done, not just finished.

“Karan is one of the best mentors I’ve ever had!”
