Saitz and Samet Named co-Editors in Chief of Online NIDA Journal

Richard Saitz, MD, MPH, and Jeffrey Samet, MD, MA, MPH, of the Clinical Addiction Research and Education (CARE) Unit at Boston Medical Center and Boston University School of Medicine and Public Health, have been named co-Editors in Chief of Addiction Science & Clinical Practice (AS&CP) peer-reviewed journal of the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA)

Founded in 2002 under the original title Science & Practice Perspectives, AS&CP had been NIDA’s primary printed vehicle for dialogue between researchers and clinicians. It is now available online only. Since its inception, the journal has featured research reviews and clinical perspectives written by top experts, analyses of translational research collaborations, and other materials. The journal’s trademark “response panels” have brought researchers and clinicians together to elaborate on the contents and implications of feature articles. AS&CP has 34,000 subscribers and is indexed in Medline and Scopus.
