Molly Cohen-Osher Appointed Assistant Dean of Medical Education for Instructional Design and Development

Molly Cohen-Osher, MD, MMedEd, has been appointed Assistant Dean of Medical Education for Instructional Design and Development.

Dr. Cohen-Osher joined the BU/BMC community in 2012 as an Assistant Professor in the departments of Family Medicine and Medical Sciences and Education at BUSM and attending Family Medicine physician at Boston Medical Center. In addition, she is Family Medicine’s Director of Medical Student Education and Clerkship Director. She also chairs the school’s Clerkship Curriculum Subcommittee and is course director for the Fundamentals of Learning and Teaching Methods course in the Master’s in Health Sciences Education program.

As the Assistant Dean of Medical Education for Instructional Design and Development, Dr. Cohen-Osher will oversee the instructional design of the medical student curriculum and promote implementation of educational methods that foster active learning, clinical reasoning and teamwork. She will support faculty in implementing new instructional methods to ensure continuous improvement and excellence in educational design.

Dr. Cohen-Osher received her medical degree at UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey. She completed her residency at the University of Wisconsin and MacNeal Family Medicine Residency (Illinois) programs, and a Faculty Development Fellowship at Tufts. She received her Master’s in Medical Education at University of Dundee, Scotland.
