May 1 Deadline: Nominations for the OAA Voluntary Faculty Award of Excellence

The Office of Academic Affairs seeks nominations for the Voluntary Faculty Award of Excellence.  All faculty, staff, and students may submit nominations.

Voluntary faculty are primarily community-based, teaching Integrated Problems, Introduction to Clinical Medicine, or in clinical clerkships and residency programs. Some may instruct basic science courses. They work very hard and this is our way of honoring their efforts on behalf of our trainees.

The award recipient will be honored at John McCahan Medical Campus Education Day on May 25.

Please nominate one deserving voluntary faculty member.

Nominations must include:

• Nominee’s name
• Description as to why the individual is deserving, e.g. commitment to teaching, quality of teaching, student evaluations, volume of teaching, off-site clerkship administration, etc.
