New Deans in Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs

Three faculty members have been appointed as Assistant Deans in the BUSM Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs:

Ali Guermazi, MD, PhD, is a Professor of Radiology and Section Chief of Musculoskeletal Radiology. He received his medical degree from Sfax University School of Medicine in Tunisia, completed his residency in radiology in Paris and obtained his PhD from Jikei University, Japan. Dr. Guermazi is an active member of Boston’s Muslim community.

Maria Ramirez, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Medicine. She received her doctoral degree from the University of Buenos Aires and completed a post-doc at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Dr. Ramirez will serve as our liaison with the Division of Graduate Medical Sciences.

David Henderson, MD, is Professor and Chair of Psychiatry and Chief of Psychiatry at BMC. He received his medical degree from University of Massachusetts Medical School and completed his residency at Massachusetts General Hospital.
