This 258-bed hospital is located in Hyannis, Massachusetts, one of New England’s most beautiful vacation retreats and one of the most rapidly expanding and developing areas in the Northeast. Admission to the Hospital exceed 13,000 annually, with 49,000 patients treated on the Accident Floor during the past year. Approximately 6,748 surgical procedures are performed here annually.

Over the past decade, Cape Cod Hospital has developed into a major referral center for all of Cape Cod and the offshore islands, and now offers a full range of medical and surgical services, including modern radiation therapy. Three surgical residents interact closely with the director of surgical education and attending staff surgeons, and participate in the total care of all general surgical patients. Operative experience is extensive, and residents have regularly rated this surgical rotation as one of their most valuable clinical exposures.
